Soi 29
A new interior design for restaurant SOI in Mazettihuset in Malmö. The restaurant is divided into two parts with different atmospheres.
An open and bright room with bar-atmosphere, created with custom carpentry in oak and marble. The dining area is calm and intimate. Excellent sound and light are created by a heavy green velvet curtain hanging from rails in the ceiling. The fabric cleans the walls while forming niches and smaller spaces in the large dining room.
Eleven large rice lamps hangs on the ceiling to provide a pleasant general lighting and a nice roof landscape. Down-lit lamps give a dampened but concentrated light to the food on the tables. A great amount spotlights on the ceiling illuminate the walls and give depth and shimmer to the velvet fabric.
